Exam 1

Exam 1 will examine material up to and including class 13 (i.e. up to and including the pumping lemma for regular languages). The exam is open-note: you may use any written or printed materials. You may also use JFLAP. You may also use a web browser to access the class webpages and the class resources on Moodle [Added 3/9/2010]. No other electronic devices or online resources may be used. The majority of questions will be similar to a homework or EZquiz question. You will have 75 minutes to complete the exam.

Final Exam

The final exam will examine all material taught in the course (except where explicitly stated as non-examinable). The exam is open-note: you may use any written or printed materials. You may also use JFLAP. You may also use a web browser to access the class webpages and the class resources on Moodle. No other electronic devices or online resources may be used. The majority of questions will be similar to a homework or EZquiz question. You will have 3 hours to complete the exam.
