Exams
Exam 1
Exam 1 will examine material up to and including class 12. More
precisely, the exam covers material up to and including Example 4.6 on
page 114 of the textbook, but excluding the pumping lemma itself. The
exam is open-note: you may use any written or printed materials. You
may also use JFLAP. You may also use a web browser to access the class
web pages and the class resources on Moodle. No other electronic
devices or online resources may be used. A practice exam, with
solutions, is provided on Moodle. Most questions will be
similar to a homework, EZquiz or practice exam question. You will
have 75 minutes to complete the exam.
Final Exam
The final exam will examine all material taught in the course (except
where explicitly stated as non-examinable). The exam is open-note:
you may use any written or printed materials. You may also use
JFLAP. You may also use a web browser to access the class web pages
and the class resources on Moodle. No other electronic devices or
online resources may be used. A practice exam, with solutions, is
provided on Moodle. Most questions will be similar to a homework,
EZquiz or practice exam question. You will have 3 hours to complete
the exam.
